Beyond the office: Getting to know Mary Buck

Mary and team

Since joining Touchwork in July, Mary Buck has embraced her role as a Business Development

Executive with enthusiasm and a fresh perspective. Her passion for connecting with people and forming meaningful relationships makes her a perfect fit for the team. Whether she’s meeting new clients or collaborating with colleagues, Mary approaches every interaction with warmth and authenticity, creating a strong foundation for future partnerships.

There’s definitely something about Mary, so we took a closer look to get a glimpse into her life outside of the office.

Sun-soaked living with loved ones

Living on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Mary is never far from pristine beaches, clear waters, and endless sunshine. Whenever she gets the chance, she heads to the beach to soak in the beauty and unwind. Beyond the shore, Mary enjoys reading, cooking, and shopping—often with her favorite tunes, classic rock and country, playing in the background. An avid walker, she takes on a 5k or more almost every morning, starting her days off on the right foot. Above all, Mary cherishes spending time with her three incredible kids: Jack, Maddie, and Finley. Whether it’s a family outing or a quiet moment together, her family remains her greatest source of joy.

Mary and family

A dinner conversation close to the heart

When asked which historical or famous figure she’d have dinner with, Mary gave a heartfelt answer: her father. A homicide detective who passed away when she was just 13, Mary reflects on how meaningful it would be to reconnect with him as an adult. Having pursued a career as a prosecutor, she imagines the conversations they could have had about their shared experiences in law enforcement. Hearing that her personality mirrors his, she’d cherish the opportunity to bond with him and share stories of their overlapping paths.

The power of healing

If Mary could have a superpower for a day, her choice would be the ability to heal. This wish comes from a deeply personal place: her son is a leukemia survivor. During his illness, Mary often dreamed of having the power to instantly take away his pain and suffering. It’s a testament to her compassion and strength as a mother, as well as her enduring hope for others facing similar challenges.

From a background in law to a future in CX

Mary’s background as a prosecutor is a unique part of her story. She specialized in domestic violence cases—a tough area of law that required creativity and determination to build cases without victim cooperation. She loved the work but stepped away when her son got sick, deciding not to return to the courtroom after his recovery. While the stress of being an attorney is behind her, Mary appreciates how much her legal career prepared her for every challenge she’s taken on since.

A new chapter

Mary’s arrival at Touchwork highlights her resilience, adaptability, and genuine interest in connecting with others. In the few months she’s been with the team, she’s proven to be a great fit, bringing a thoughtful and approachable energy to everything she does. Whether she’s building meaningful relationships, enjoying family time, or taking in the Florida coast, Mary’s down-to-earth and caring nature stands out.
